The outer wall of ARTBAY HOUSE and the surrounding area will be lit up.

During the first phase, only the cafe will be open (Weekdays 12:00-18:00/ Saturdays, Sundays and holidays 11:00-19:00/ Mondays closed).

＜Phase 2＞ ARTBAY HOUSE Prism installations

Friday, December 11, 2020 - Friday, December 25, 2020, 12:00 - 21:00 (Last admission 20:30)

In addition to the first phase of the light-up prism facade, six prism installations will be on display for visitors to enjoy throughout the day and night.

The cafe and store will be open during the second period (13:30 to 20:30 every day).

INFO.Takahiro Matsuo's PRISM / GLOW exhibition shines with special prismatic light at ARTBAY TOKYO this Christmas season.

ARTBAY TOKYO will host PRISM / GLOW, an exhibition of prism installations by artist Takahiro Matsuo, as a special art program created for Illumination Island Odaiba 2020. The new prism art and light works created for this exhibition will light up the ARTBAY HOUSE in transparent colors as if it were enveloped in glittering jewelry, creating a special illumination experience that can only be seen at ARTBAY TOKYO.

The ARTBAY CAFE at the venue will offer a limited time drink menu with designs inspired by the exhibition. In addition, Takahiro Matsuo's work brand EMISSION will have a pop-up store selling original jewelry and limited edition Christmas goods.

PROFILE
Born in Fukuoka Prefecture in 1979, Matsuo is the president of LUCENT.

Matsuo has been creating videos, lighting, objects, interactive aesthetic light installations, as well as artworks featuring various expressions and technologies using his own video, lighting and programming. He has been working internationally on a wide range of projects, including public art for cities and commercial spaces, exhibitions in various countries, and art and design for luxury brands, with his delicate expression of light and emotion being based on the phenomena and laws of nature and imagination.

Newly launched in 2020, EMISSION is a brand that creates light installations, products, and jewelry using special prisms.
The artworks and jewelry, which are transparent and extremely light, are created one by one in an atelier in Ginza, Tokyo, by craftsmen using unique techniques.
